The Benefits of Bleach Stain & Color Loss Repair

Cost Effective

Carpet dyeing is more cost-effective than replacement. Typically, dyeing is 50-85% less cost than a patch or repair.

Better Results Than A Patch or Repair

Carpet dyeing can produce better results than a repair. It can be a challenge for a patch in a high-traffic area to match the installed carpet, without being noticeable. If the same carpet is in many rooms, dyeing a color loss spot can prevent replacement of all matching carpet.

Prevents Premature Replacement

Carpet dyeing prevents premature replacement, as well as preventing otherwise good carpet from ending up in landfills.

Who Can We Help?

Homeowners, property managers, real estate agents, maid services, hotels, nursing homes, pest removal companies and more!

Is Dyed Carpet Permanent?

The dyes we use are the same dyes that carpet manufacturers use.  Dyed carpets are colorfast, just as the original carpet dyes used by the carpet mills.  The dye will not be removed the next time your carpet is cleaned.

Our Bleach Color Loss Stain & Spot Dye Repair Process

Cleaning & Neutralizing

First, if necessary, the spot is cleaned to remove any cleaning solution that was previously applied.  Next, the bleach or the chemical that caused the color loss is neutralized to ensure the dyes added will stick to the fibers.

Analyze & Set Up

The color of the carpet is then analyzed to determine what colors are present in the bleached area, which will determine what colors of dye to add.  We accomplish this by using a Color Repair app on our smartphone and also by using our experience in color theory and repair.

Carefully, we set up our equipment, which often includes our specialty dyes, syringes, pots for hot water, pots for multiple dyes and other various tools.

Dye Formulating, Mixing & Application

Our analysis of the carpet will help us mix the correct, custom formula of dyes to match your carpet.  The custom dye formula is then heated and mixed with a chemical that helps it stick to the carpet fibers.  It is then applied to the carpet with a syringe.  Once the dyeing has been achieved and the match is satisfactory, it will be speed dried and groomed.
