Distinctive did a great job cleaning our white wool living room rug. It wasn't terribly dirty (so we thought) until it came back so fresh looking! We're glad to know someone that has the right knowledge, set up & equipment to clean our large area rugs. Thanks Alan & Audrey!

I have used Distinctive Cleaning and Restoration in the past and they've never disappointed . this year in addition to cleaning my carpets and ceramic tile I had them clean my sofa and 2 chairs. What a wonderful job they did on everything. They are terrific. I've even called them between jobs with cleaning questions and they've been very helpful.

I recently purchased a condo and, before moving in, decided to have the carpets professionally cleaned. I honestly didn’t think they were that dirty, but I figured it was a good idea to have them cleaned while the condo was empty. Boy, was I wrong! 😂 After Distinctive Cleaning & Restoration finished, it looked like I had a completely different carpet! I was amazed at how much dirt and grime they were able to get out. I thought I was starting with a pretty clean carpet, but apparently the carpet had been keeping some secrets from me! The entire experience was fantastic. The team was professional, efficient, and did an excellent job. I also really appreciated how easy they made the payment process, with multiple payment methods available. It was quick, convenient, and one less thing to worry about. I would absolutely recommend Distinctive Cleaning & Restoration to anyone looking for professional service and great results. I will definitely be calling you for all of my future carpet cleanings. After seeing the difference you made, I’ve learned that carpets apparently need a little attention more than once in their lifetime! 😂 Thank you again for your excellent work and for making the whole experience so easy and pleasant. I truly appreciate the care and professionalism you provided, and I look forward to having you back for future cleanings!

Okay, I am just going to tell it like it is. About a month ago, I was changing the sheets on my mattress. It's about 8 years old, but it is a premium mattress, and my 7 year old jumped up on it, and started smacking it. . . Because of how the light hit it, a plume of dust and nasty was extremely visible. . . I was horrified. Disgusted. Shame on me, but I had never had this mattress cleaned. . . out of sight, out of mind. . . . I know, I feel bad, but this is me being honest. So, I jumped on Chat GPT and told it I needed to solve this problem as quickly and as efficiently as possible. Top pick, Distinctive Cleaning & Restoration. I texted them, which was extremely simple, and got it scheduled. They had a cancellation in my area, so I was able to be seen even quicker than planned, very cool. Great communication. I thought I was only going to be getting my mattress cleaned. Nope, they went above and beyond. Also cleaned my box spring, cloth head board, Top & Bottom of my mattress. Did an amazing job. Even gave me some tips on how to clean moving forward. No upselling, just doing a great job and getting out. Very impressed. It cost $195, which is their minimum, so not super cheap, but I would pay it again in a heartbeat for the quality of work I got, and the amazing customer service.

Alan and Josh did an excellent job. We are very happy with their services. The results in the photos speak for themselves. Professional, went above and beyond, and the outcome was exceptional. We will definitely continue to utilize Distinctive Cleaning in the future and explore some of the many other cleaning services that they provide.

When I moved to Fort Wayne I was concerned that I wouldn’t find someone with the knowledge and facility to clean my modern and antique wool rugs. I found Distinctive Cleaning & Restoration online and inquired about their capability to repair a wool flat-weave, well-used family heirloom that is over 100 years old. Audrey and Alan used their deep expert contacts to handle the repair and returned a beautiful, perfect rug to me. (Ultimately it went to Turkey for expert reweaving - a place where Audrey and Alan have deepened their knowledge and love of this ancient art of rug making.) The handling of the complicated process was smooth and the communication at every step was clear and prompt. Audrey and Alan are clearly top in this field with their knowledge, a terrific facility and their lovely customer service. Recommend without hesitation. And I can’t wait until I need to have my rugs cleaned!

Family and locally owned! Alan did an amazing and extremely thorough job cleaning the carpets in our home. He is extremely knowledgeable. After discussion with him, they also cleaned a rug we thought had been ruined by our dog when she was so ill. It turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Audrey did a wonderful job off staying in touch with us and always keeping us updated.

We would like to share our overall experience of having the tile flooring cleaned in our soon to be rental house. Our hope is that this review will not only help prospective customers, but also help the company itself to improve even more. PROS: ~Both Alan and Audrey were very friendly and communicated well throughout our interactions with them ~They have prompt service and response time ~Alan has lifelong experience in floor cleaning as his parents owned a similar business ~The tile flooring was noticeably cleaner, especially the grout ~The pricing is fair compared to competitors ~They offer flexible options to pay, which helps immensely. CONS: ~After specifically mentioning to them that I have OCD (Germ focused), I requested that Alan wear shoe covers in the house during cleaning/service. While he did wear them upon entering the house for the first time, I was disappointed to see that he kept the same shoe covers on while going in and out of the house. Even though the floor was getting cleaned, I felt that dirt/germs/etc were getting brought back into the home. This could have been avoided if another worker was helping Alan with the cleaning (he was working solo at the time of cleaning). ~I also asked specifically if the equipment that they use gets cleaned regularly. While I am sure that Audrey was being honest when she said, "It does", I am not sure exactly what the procedure is for cleaning it; however, the equipment looked dirty and dusty to me, as if it wasn't cleaned that often. Again, this made me very uncomfortable. CLOSING THOUGHT: Overall, we were mostly satisfied with the service offered by Alan and Audrey at Distinctive Cleaning & Restoration. However, in our opinion, in order to be an outstanding business and to earn five stars, they should work harder to truly listen to the needs of their customers even if it means taking a little more time or doing things a little differently than they are used to. For us, it makes all the difference in the world. Thank you for reading.

My mother has an oriental rug from Pakistan. It was originally my grandmother’s rug in Germany and has a lot of sentimental value to my mother. It was important to choose the right company to perform the cleaning and repair. The end to end service model was effective and the communication was thorough and greatly appreciated. We picked up the rug today and we are very happy with the results.

I was completely satisfied with the carpet cleaning services from Distinctive Cleaning and Restoration, and that's hard to say with carpet cleaning companies. (I've often heard reasons from other companies about why they can't do something with carpet cleaning, or they do the job quickly, and through the interactions, you can tell that the best effort wasn't given.) That's not true with my experience here. Distinctive prepared me for their visit thoroughly. The communication couldn't have been better. Alan was careful around the freshly painted trim and careful when cleaning the edges of the carpet, which can get so dusty. He gave his best effort with every room. I will be using them again and recommending them!

I recommend this company. Before I knew of this company I had to take my Orientals to Indianapolis to be cleaned properly, now Fort Wayne has Distinctive Cleaning & Restoration. Their specialized equipment combined with attention to detail and professionalism will give you the best possible treatment and results for your carpets. The owners and staff are wonderful to work with, and will provide you the convenience of drop off and pickup. Fort Wayne needed this company, and I for one am very glad they're here. Thanks again, the carpet looks like new!

A member of our family works in a factory and neglected to take his shoes off before going up our stairs, hallway, and bedroom. I thought those black footprints would never come out! Alan took one look and said they could get them out. And they did! I’m adding before and after photos of one of the worst areas.

They even called us the next day to see if everything was okay and made it clear that if we needed anything, they would take care of it. Van & Linda

I bought a vintage wool rug at a flea market which my dog immediately peed on. Spoke with Audrey, communication with this business was great and thorough. Picked up the rug today and it looks amazing and is completely odor-free. Just have to make sure the dog can't get to it again. Highly recommend this business.

We had our carpet cleaned and spots in it from pet and they did a great job! We also had 3 wool rugs that had been pet abused cleaned and they look like new! I highly recommend them for your cleaning needs. The price also reflects a in shop deep cleaning of our expensive wool rugs that had some pretty bad stains and odors from dogs.

Years ago, we hired a well-known national carpet cleaning company, but unfortunately, the results were disappointing. They saturated the carpet with too much water, which took several days to dry. Afterward, the carpet looked flat and never regained its original appearance. Distinctive Cleaning totally changed my perception of how carpets can be cleaned and made to look brand new! Alan and Josh are a dynamic team. They are kind, articulate and professional. I was concerned about my beautiful hardwood floors being damaged by water. Alan and his wife Audrey explained their technique and put my mind at ease. Highly recommend this group!

I may be one of the pickiest people when it comes to cleanliness especially smells. Our cat had a few accidents on our brand new basement carpet which I was about ready to just tear up because I couldn’t get the smell out. I researched for weeks to find the best carpet cleaners calling everyone in town. Although they were more expensive than others, their process, professionalism and their attention to detail is everything I paid for . I can’t smell a single odor in our carpet and I expected it to be better but not gone! They did it. Worth every penny. Thank you for being so detail oriented. It’s hard to find good work anymore, but I will be a life long customer. So impressed I will be telling everyone

Highly recommend! Fairfield Galleries recommended Distinctive Cleaning for upholstery cleaning- had a sectional cleaned and it looks amazing. Alan also cleaned an area of carpet in front of the sectional that was dirtier than the rest of the carpet, that did not come clean when cleaned by another company about a year ago. It came out great as well. Will definitely be using them soon for all our carpeting

We bought a new home that had fairly new carpet but the previous owner had a small dog who had accidents in several areas all around our main level. We were skeptical it would ever be the same but we decided to try a professional cleaner. We didn't look for the cheapest option but the best option and that's when we found Audrey and Alans business Distinctive Cleaning. After a great deep cleaning and a couple additional stop ins by Alan to address the trouble areas, the carpet is in great condition again with stains and odors removed. Could not recommend them more. And you can feel good knowing you are supporting a small local family owned business. Thank you both!

I took my 40 year old wool braided runners/rugs in to be cleaned. What a thrill when I got them back. They felt clean. Dirt and grime gone. The colors popped again. Worth every penny spent and it was a fraction of the price for new rug replacement. 5 stars for sure!

Alan and his team did a great job. The scheduling process was easy, he arrived on time and did a fantastic job with the cleaning of our carpet and sofa. There was no odor and the dampness was much less than I've experienced with other companies. I would highly recommend.

I used Distinctive Cleaning to clean my carpet, upholstery and my epoxy garage floor. I see multiple reviews for carpet so I will share my experience for the upholstery and epoxy floor. Alan spent a lot of time on my sofa and chairs. Because we have dogs that enjoy spending time on the sofa, the dog hair was embedded into the fabric. It had been years since I had this sofa looked at. The dining chairs had multiple spots as well. I could tell that he really cared about getting everything clean. Our garage floor was also very dirty from the winter months. It looked so nice after the cleaning. Alan is very conscientious and meticulous. He cares about the work he does and wants to do a great job for his customers.

Distinctive Cleaning came out and cleaned my Aunt's carpet; what a beautiful job they did. And I'm not just saying that, I told Alan the carpet looked like new when they were done, and I seriously mean that! Stanley Steamer came out and did a shit job and told them to come back out and clean it again, they never cleaned around her dining room table. Distinctive came out and moved the table and cleaned the area. They didn't have to do that, and like I said it looked beautiful. I highly recommend them! They charged me less than Stanley Steamer and the job was 10 times better. They also took some rugs and oriental ones to the shop to clean them. I'm anxious to see how they come out! They are also going to clean her tile floor when they come back. Very satisfied and will post how the rugs come out!

Holy smokes!!! You want the cleanest carpets and the nicest people??? Please call Alan and Audrey. From commercial cleaning (I met them as an employee at Joseph Decuis, Alan cleans the restaurant and Emporium). I’ve recommend them to friends with great success and finally got to personally use their services. Masterful job on short-ish notice. They do more than just carpets! Couch cushions and furniture, animal stain/odor remediation, and even heirloom rugs. Wonderful people doing wonderful work.

I have owned and loved this wool oriental rug for 35 years. It has worn like iron, except for the fringe, which has been caught more than a few times by a vacuum. I'm thrilled that Distinctive Cleaning & Restoration used all their TLC to return it to like-new condition. They uniquely have huge equipment to shake years of dirt loose before cleaning and drying. Then, they transported the rug to a restoration specialist to even and secure the damaged fringe. Finally, I upgraded the padding (worth every penny). I love the fresh smell of clean wool, and I'm looking forward to many more years with this wonderful rug. Thank you DC&R owners Alan and Audrey - you are the best!!

They are so pleasant and professional to work with. We hired them to clean the carpets at my place of employment, which by they the carpet was stained very badly and hadn't been cleaned in several years. Alan work all day on the floors getting the horrible stains out. Everyone in the building is amazed on how clean and good the carpet looks. He was never in the way of our employees and we couldn't be happier. Thanks!!!!!

"Creme de la creme" are the words that describe my thoughts about the Distinctive Cleaning and Restoration Company owned by Alan and Audrey Falls. Once again, yesterday, I had carpet and tile cleaned along with tile sealing throughout most of the entire house. Alan who performed the service always arrives with a smile, is pristine in appearance, knowledgeable, and is willing to answer any questions I might have. When he is finished he explains what has been done, and will show photos of before and after, if I'm interested. When I leave the house and know Alan is cleaning, I have total confidence in the work being done as close to perfection as possible. I especially like receiving their newsletters by email that give you tips on how to care for your carpet, tile, upholstery etc. Alan and Audrey are an enthusiastic couple, and I feel their greatest desire is to continue learning about the greatest and the latest concerning home care of carpet, tile, upholstery cleaning. by attending annual conventions regarding the same. I can say with all confidence that Distinctive Cleaning and Restoration is one of the finest companies in the Fort Wayne area!

I decided to have my carpet cleaned last minute before our graduation party. Distinctive Cleaning was recommended to us by our friends and I’m so glad we called them. They had a cancellation and were able to fit us in. Our carpet looked 100% better than before. The service was great, they communicated everything to us before the appointment and the cleaning was done quickly and thoroughly. We will definitely use them again.

Hi Audrey, We were extremely happy with Alan's work. Our carpets look like brand new again!! The carpet and furniture dried very quickly. Alan did an awesome job and we were able to move most of our furniture back into the rooms yet that day. Our "dirty spot" is clean again and we will definitely tell our friends about your services. I told Alan my husband's recliner looked new again (it was really dirty). Before Alan left I told him that I will have him back again when our tile/grout needs cleaned. You two really know how to run a customer friendly business. From the time I scheduled, you kept in touch with me and provided a full list of do's & don'ts along with pre-procedure notes that were very helpful. You have a customer for life!

We were very happy with the results of the cleaning & spot removal they did on our basement carpet. They removed old pet stains & grime that had been present for years. We had considered just replacing the carpet but are so glad we chose to have it cleaned due to our son-in-law's recomendation based on the excellent results when they clean his restaurant's carpet. They are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They gave us great advice on how to remove any new spots that might occur. I highly recommend them for great carpet cleaning!

Distinctive Cleaning did an excellent job at cleaning our carpet before we moved into our new house. Before the cleaning there were noticeable dark areas in the cream colored carpet, and now you cannot even tell that they were there. Audrey did an amazing job at communicating with me every step of the way which is very important to me. Alan arrived on-time and I am very happy with the results. Overall this was an excellent, stress-free experience which I feel like can be rare these days. I enjoyed working with a small, locally owned company and will definitely hire them again in the future. Thank you!

Without fail, they communicate clearly, swiftly and respectfully. We consider them part of our branding team since they help us ensure a clean and well-maintained environment at our venue. Unbelievably impressed with Distinctive Cleaning! Our basement flooded a few weeks ago when we had the torrential rains. We got in contact with Alan from Distinctive. He came over promptly, was very professional and gave us a detailed run down of what needed done. He put the necessary equipment in our basement and came over every day to check on the status of the flooring and walls. We now have new padding installed, which he organized, and freshly cleaned carpet. Couldn’t be happier. We will continue to use Distinctive for future carpet cleanings. Thank you very much for your hard work!

AAA Best Flooring was also awesome. Distinctive Cleaning and Restoration deserve the 5-star rating!

We used Distinctive Cleaning & Restoration to clean our carpets and a couple of natural fabric couches that had not been touched for many years. The results were dramatic and we are glad we tried this route vs buying new couches. Our carpet takes a beating with our dogs and cats. Once again, the results were excellent. We will be using this company on a regular basis moving forward to maintain the carpet and couches. Distinctive was very professional and thorough. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I am amazed at how clean my 24-year-old carpet is after Distinctive Cleaning's service! With kids and pets, I was just resigned to some stains sticking around forever. But Alan is persistent and a perfectionist and my carpet looks brand new! He removed paint & other art supplies, plant dirt, coffee stains, tea stains, blood, pet stains, mystery stains, and the general dirt that comes from a family living in a home. I have a fancy carpet cleaner and I've had other professional companies clean my carpet, but by far this is the most professional and complete service I have ever received. I have already scheduled my next carpet cleaning appointment with Distinctive Cleaning, and I will be a loyal customer going forward. Their courtesy, professionalism, and dedication to getting the job done right the first time is simply unparalleled. Last year, Distinctive Cleaning provided water damage-related cleanup and repair for our basement when our sump pump died. I was very pleased with their ability to restore our carpet after it had been so wet and yucky! I hope we never have water damage again, but if we do my first call is to Distinctive Cleaning & Restoration.

I highly recommend this company to clean anything you need done right now! I had an area rug that was a challenge for anyone to clean but Distinctive Cleaning got it back to looking almost brand new. Came home on Sunday afternoon (from an overnight trip) to water spewing into basement from a pipe that had come apart. Called several national franchises only able to leave a message. After an hour or so, having no call backs from those national franchises we were referred to Distinctive Cleaning and Restoration. Alan answered our emergency call right away. We told told him that we thought he could come in the morning as water damage seemed minimal and pipe had been put back together. Alan asked for pictures which we sent. He immediately responded that he thought he should come out then (after 4. pm on a Sunday) to assess the situation. His extremely thorough assessment identified water damage more extensive than we thought - , in 1/2 of living area, inside of bedroom (with some dampness along inside closet wall), entire bathroom and utility room. Approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of concrete floor in storage area had water. They did immediate extraction, moved furniture, storage containers, cleaned carpet and flooring, they also removed some staining on carpets from where the water touched the finish on the furniture. Linoleum was cleaned, even moved the washer and dryer to clean underneath. They also removed all of the water soaked cardboard boxes. Moved numerous items in storage area to dry location and extracted the water and cleaned the concrete. Fans and heaters were placed throughout the 3 areas (living area, utility area and storage area) Alan came back on Monday to check drying process and make adjustments to temperature and humidity. On Wednesday evening all was dry, the drying equipment was removed, carpet cleaned and all furniture, area rugs and "stuff" was put back in place. The whole basement looked amazing, you would never know that there had been any kind of "water emergency" They were extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and professional and so very personable. They answered all of our questions, even about drying the 200 year old family bible that had gotten wet. Thank goodness Alan answered our emergency call right away and made an immediate in home visit. I am sure that I left out steps that he and his wife did to return our basement to better than normal. We know we had the very best. Thank you!

Thank you!

We thought the tile in our new house was dark brown…then Alan showed us his skills. Wow! It was actually much better than we could have imagined. And our carpets turned out great. Alan and Audrey provide exceptional service and we have not been disappointed. Highly recommend them!!

These two are a great team! They cleaned my son’s bedroom carpet and our sectional. The carpet cleaned up great and I don’t see the pet stains anymore! Also, after cleaning the couch not only does it look great, but the cushions feel springy and renewed. Thank you both for the wonderful work you did at our home!

We could not be happier with Distinctive Carpet Cleaning service. Alan is professional and meticulous and very pleasant to have in your home. The carpet cleaning looks wonderful. Our carpet is just a year old and was cleaned for the warranty but we were very impressed with the time and detail he took. We are absolutely thrilled with the couches and recliner. They are fifteen years old with the Eudora suede microfiber material and look and feel new. Alan got into every nook and gave it a thorough cleaning. We will definitely be using them next time and recommend highly. Thanks for the great work!
